These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Clipe application, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") published by [Company legal name — share capital, RCS] ("Clipe", "we", "us").
Registered Office: 4 Square Charles Laurent, 75015 Paris, France
Host (LCEN art. 6 III-1): [Hosting provider name], [full postal address], [contact].
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use Clipe.
You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content").
By posting, you grant Clipe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce (e.g., compress/re-encode), adapt, display, and distribute your content within the Service to operate, secure, and improve Clipe.
This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where: (i) others have re-shared or saved it; (ii) retention is required for legal compliance, fraud-prevention, or evidence.
You warrant that you own or hold the necessary rights, and that your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property, privacy, image, or other rights.
Violations may result in content removal, feature limits, suspension, or permanent ban.
For third-party content, Clipe acts as a hosting provider (LCEN art. 6 I-2). We are not subject to a general obligation to monitor but act expeditiously upon obtaining knowledge of manifestly illegal content.
Report illegal content via in-app tools or contact@clipe.app including: (a) URL/ID/screenshot; (b) reasons for illegality; (c) date/time; (d) your identity/contact; (e) good-faith statement. We acknowledge receipt, assess, act proportionately (removal/restriction), and inform you with reasons and appeal options.
Accounts repeatedly posting illegal or harmful content may face escalating measures up to permanent ban.
We process personal data per our Privacy Policy and GDPR. You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Requests at contact@clipe.app. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
The Service (software, design, databases, trademarks, including the registered EU trademark "CLIPE") is owned or licensed by Clipe and protected by French/EU law. No rights are granted beyond those necessary to use the Service. Reverse engineering, scraping, or resale are prohibited unless allowed by mandatory law.
Clipe may integrate third-party services (hosting, analytics, media encoding). We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
You may delete your account at any time in settings or by contacting contact@clipe.app. On deletion, public profile and non-essential personal data are deleted or anonymized. Certain data may be temporarily retained for fraud-prevention, security, or legal obligations. Content already shared by others may remain accessible through them.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clipe shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, or business). For direct damages, aggregate liability is limited to the maximum permitted by French law (the Service is free).
These Terms are governed by French law. Jurisdiction lies with the French courts, without prejudice to EU consumer rights to bring actions in their country of residence.
